Profusion 48 Palette Eyeshadow Palette 1

I went to go to school today, and of course the class did not start 'til Thursday. With that said I decided to take my tail over to a A.J. Wright store that I had never been to. I was not expecting to much from this place, considering the location.Of course what I get for thinking that nothing was going to come from the visit, I found out that the store was quite nice, well maintained, and quite a selection. I was majorly surprised to say the least. I went digging for one of my favorite makeup palettes that they carry in A.J. Wright and Ross. I am speaking about the brand Profusion (AKA Profound). If you  YouTube about eyeshadow palettes then you will know what I am speaking about. These palettes are all so beautiful, and I have an abundance of them at least 8 to 10. I just love them, and the color payoff is amazing. Now, you do not like frost or shimming eye shadows, I can say that these are not for you. Every single last one of these is frost or shimmering. But I like all eyeshadows except for ones that say eyeshadow, but really are only glitter. If  I want glitter I will add glitter, that is just my feeling about that.

Profusion 48 color eyeshadow palette-4.99 A.J. Wright

This is the palette which is actually quite funny because it is a bronze/nude palette. Of course I found it right after purchasing the NYX Bronze Look Palette. I was going to take the NYX Back, but when I compared the 2 I realized that the NYX had some matte colors, which I am lacking so I kept it.

The colors are so pretty and pigmented, like all the other Profusion palettes I have. I also have another 48 color eyeshadow palette with bright colors, I bought it first and love it also. I have noticed that profusion will have a certain palette with some colors, and will have the same version palette labeled another number with other colors. I just try to get them all. For the price you cannot beat it. I hate watching YouTube videos, and not having the color, or at least something similar to it, which is the reason, I started buying palettes, verses single shadows.  I also decided to buy another profusion palette called essential beauty kit, I have actually been  looking for it along with the profusion 96 eyeshadow palette. Hopefully my quest will end in the near future after I have finally found it.

Profusion Essential Beauty Kit-3.99 A.J. Wright
I do not have much else to say about this kit that I have not already said. I know I do not speak much about Profusions Blushes, but they are nice also, I switch between them and NYX Mosaic Powder in Paradise. I usually use the NYX because is travel friendly.

I find that all their palettes are true to color.

Obviously I love Profusion

Pros-

  1. Lots of colors
  2. Easy to find at discount stores
  3. Prices
  4. Selection
  5. Online Catalog
  6. All Shimmery/Frost colors
  7. Last all day with primer ( I have never used it without, because that is what I have a primer for)
Cons-
  1. All shimmery/frost colors (if you do not like that)
  2. Can be hard to find the palette you are looking specifically for at stores
  3. Shipping on the website is outrageous
  4. Not small purse friendly
  5. Baby powder smell (that doesn't bother me)
For me the Pros really outweigh the cons by a  long shot. If you haven't given Profusion a try, go ahead. I think it is worth it

Nyx Bronze Smokey Look and NYX Nude on Nude Look

Nude on Nude
Bronze Smokey
I am going to start of my very first post by reviewing the NYX Bronze Smokey Look. While I was out I went into Ulta just to look around, and of course I found something that I wanted. I had been debating on the Urban Decay naked palette for quite some time, because I really love Urban Decay. But I just do not see any reason to pay 44 dollars for a neutral palette. I have Urban Decay Book of Shadows II and Alice in Wonderland. I considered those both great buys because of the vibrant colors and how much the price of a single Urban Decay eyeshadow cost, it was a steal of a deal. But when it comes to the multitude of really great nude eyeshadow palettes, I just cannot justify that amount of money. This is where the NYX Bronze Smokey Look and Nude on Nude Look comes in. I saw for the price of 11.99 each, and I picked them both up, while leaving behind the Smokey Eye Look and Purple Smokey Eye Look. I love them both, they are both blendable, soft, nicely pigmented and compact. I compared it with the Naked palette at Ulta (they just received a shipment) and I was happy to say that I no longer had a craving for it.
